Biking and Adventure - 20th Annual Covington Century


Join in the fun for a great cause - Project Adventure Kids!

Last year's ride drew of 800 participants!


And one of the best components is that the youth of Project Adventure Kids volunteer and work hard to accomodate the riders and make the event a success. Proceeds go toward supporting the academic, social and emotional development and independent living skills.


Project Adventure Kids, a divison of Project Adventure, Inc. is a non-profit organization located on a 130-acre campus in Covington that works as a residential program for displaced and homeless Georgia youth. Last year, it worked with over 950 kids. The program combines adventure, academics and counseling in a fundamental group environment that helps neglected and at risk youth overcome the barriers they encounter in life. Over 100 students are currently enrolled in a variety of community based and residential programs in Covington. These programs maintain an 83 percent success rate, which is 23 percent better than the national standard for these youth.

An Atlanta summer classic gets a makeover - while the ride still benefits Project Adventure Kids, a foster home & school, it's now run by cyclists for cyclists.


Changes include:** Performance micro-fiber t-shirt** Pre-ride Packet Pick Up at Local Bike Shops** Up Front Preferred Parking for Donors to PA Kids** Team Pavilion near registration, for teams to gather & recruit** Bigger, shadier rest stops with P&J and porta-potties @ ea. stop
7am Registration, 8am Group Start with 1.5 mile
